The idea for Lumière came on a delayed flight to Lisbon. After a 14-hour transit, three transfers, and one half-leaked toner bottle, our founder Claire looked at her destroyed toiletry bag and asked the obvious question: why is no one doing skincare in single doses?
The pharmaceutical industry has done blister-pack precision dosing for decades. The supplement world has it. The skincare aisle was still pumping serums out of hand-pump bottles that oxidize the moment air hits them.
So we built it. A complete day-and-night skincare ritual — six steps in the morning, six at night — sealed into 12 individual capsules in a single sheet. No oxidation. No spillage. No half-empty bottles taking up real estate on a shelf you'll only see twice a week.
From a tiny formulation studio in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Lumière now ships to over 60 countries. The team is still small. The mission has not changed.
